Tuesday

It's a slow morning up in the laboratory. I have so much to do, and that headache which settle in yesterday is back, sitting just behind my eyes. I'm not sure if it's tension or not, and I really haven't felt like drugging it back. Sometimes it's better to live with pain. At least I can say my head is clear.
The rain fell last night. The drops hit the metal roof, making a soothing sound. It didn't stop the chattering of the birdlets in the nest outside my window. They were awake at 4:00 am, rain or shine, little tummies telling Mommy bird that it was morning and time for breakfast. Then she flies off and tends them, and an hour later they're sound asleep, bellies full, sleeping the comatose sleep of satisfaction.
